LEGO INDIANA JONES REVIEW

Lego Indiana Jones is yet another game from the same team that made the Lego Star Wars games that came before it - and as a result it’s very similar in the way it works, looks and feels.

Lego Indiana Jones tasks the player with various puzzles to solve, enemies to destroy, obstacles to get round and bosses to defeat through a series of levels that span the original trilogy if movies. The puzzles range from the stupifyingly easy to some quite tricky challenges -although not quite as hard as has been seen before. The levels have a good amount of detail and there are many comedic touches and movie references here and there that really add to the flavour of the game. However, the game does begin to get a bit repetitive after a few hours. The visuals aren’t brilliant - but since when was a game set in a lego universe going to look absolutely spectacular? The AI is a big letdown and can be incredibly frustrating at times and still doesnt appear to have been improved since the previous games. It is possible to use the motion sensor controls for certain aspects of the game but it often makes tasks harder and more time consuming and so I’d reccommend sticking to the normal controller.

The game is fun, has a few laugh out loud moments and is definitely a step up from Star Wars. However, the Lego novelty wears off quickly and there are still some issues that don’t do it any favours. Good, clean, family fun for fans of the Lego series and fans of the films - exactly as we expected. There just isn’t enough to it.
